As of August 15th, the Amigos have hopped off the PCT (at I-90) where they are taking a few days to spend time with friends and family in Seattle and Portland

Highlights

• The hikers are taking a few days off while they are in the Seattle/Portland area
• They were picked up where the PCT meets I-90 at Snoqualmie Pass
• 251 miles to go!

• The amigos met a resupply in White Pass, WA
• They anticipate to be at Snoqualmie Pass (45 miles east of Seattle on wednesday)
• 358 miles to go!

• The amigos departed Cascade Locks, OR and have crossed the Columbia River into Washington!
• Spirits are still high as they anticipate to be at Mt. St. Helens next week and and in Canada the weekend of September 8th.
• 2107 miles down. 551 to go!

• Los Amigos' parents and sisters made the trek from the Bay Area and Portland to Southern Oregon over the weekend.
• EK, Ryan and Kip are in great shape and reinvigorated after leaving the state of California.

• The amigos are in Seiad Valley, CA, home of the infamous PCT Pancake House. If you can eat 5 of the pancakes, your bill is on the house. (note: each pancake uses 24 oz. of batter) Amigo Talley: Ryan 3.5, Kip 2.5, EK 1.5. Oddlt enough EK was the only one feeling ok later in the day.
• Ryan was leading the hike, turned a corner and was about 30 feet from a Black Bear which quickly scurried off into the woods.
• The Amigos are at PCT Mile Marker 1657!
• If all goes as planned, they will cross into the State of Oregon on the 12th
• After day 98 days, they are averaging just about 17 miles a day!

• The Amigos crossed the halfway point of the Pacific Crest Trail
• Kip's parents are meeting up with the hikers in Northern California
• Happy Fourth of July to everyone!

• The boys spent Friday and Saturday in South Lake Tahoe where an entourage of friends and family met up with them for a weekend of rest and relaxation
• On Sunday, the boys left South Lake to head north to Soda Springs and Sierra City
• They have completed 1100 miles, and are targeting to reach Canada on Labor Day

• Ryan's knee has been bothering him, so he has hitched a ride to Echo Lake 2 days ahead of EK and Kip.
• EK and Kip plan on getting to Echo Lake on wednesday, doing a day hike on thursday and then on to South Lake Tahoe on friday
